Wendy Epp B.Sc. PT

Wendy consults with the Canadian Freestyle Ski Team and was a member of the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics Canadian Medical Team. She has recently been named Venue Medical Officer of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Freestyle and Snowboard Venue.
Wendy is an advocate of using physiotherapy skills outside of the traditional clinical setting. She has pioneered a functional screening program that has been applied to over 600 elite and developing athletes in BC. Athletes preparing for the 2010 Olympics will benefit from this program.
She is an avid triathlete and counts completing Ironman Canada as one of her own athletic accomplishments.
Wendy is blessed with 2 wonderful boys who keep her active and learning. She cooks a mean risotto when she is not on her road bike or skate skiing in local mountians.

 
 

Nadine Plotnikoff M.Sc. PT

Nadine consults with the Canadian Snowboard and Wrestling Teams. She has recently been named to the Canadian Medical Team for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Nadine has also accepted the role as Venue Medical Officer for the Sliding Venue (luge, bobsled and skelton) for the 2010 Winter Olympics.
She has worked with individuals of all ages who are trying to optimize physical function. Nadine has developed an interest in the osteoarthritic population, using her motivational skills to help them in maintaining an active lifestyle.
Her completion of a masters thesis has enhanced her skills specific to management of shoulder injuries. This gives Nadine a great working hand with challenging upper extremity problems.
Nadine loves a good white wine, shopping for shoes and hiking on Sundays.

 
 

Nadine Nembhard

Nadine consults with the Canadian Track and Field Team and will be traveling with the team to the upcoming World Junior Championships. Her ongoing training in sports injury and manual therapy has earned her the Certificate of Sports Physiotherapy, Certificate of Manipulative Therapy and Resident of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy designations. A former international-caliber track and field athlete, Nadine has a special interest in working with running-based athletes. She is a Clinical Faculty member in the Physical Therapy Program at UBC, and is currently finishing up her Masters thesis in the area of sports injury prevention. Nadine loves hiking and snowboarding and is always looking for an excuse to go traveling.
